About Us
Who We Are
Centre for Constitutional Rights Research and Advocacy (CCRRA) is a collective of socially responsible citizens from different sections of the society joining our hands to ensure justice and equality to all sections of the society. We are a public trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act. A distinctive hallmark of CCRRA is that the governance is predominantly women led.
The functioning of CCRRA is mentored at three levels. The Governing board comprises of the Trustees, External Advisory board Members and the Internal core committee. The Governing board is an eclectic mix of expertise and experience in multidisciplinary fields who have come together to pave the path towards access to justice.
The
Vision
CCRRA-Centre for Constitutional Rights Research and Advocacy, A movement towards Rights is a non-profit, working towards use of the legal system to empower the deprived and disadvantaged sections of the society. The Indian constitution is the basic ground norm of the Indian legal system which places its premise on the dignity of an individual irrespective of caste, class, gender, ideologies, disability, age, religion, sexual orientation, health, economic or social status etc. The Constitution is the watch dog for the protection of rights as all actions of the parliament, executive and the judiciary have to subscribe to this.

We provide legal services to those with little or no access to the justice system, conducts litigation in the public interest, engages in advocacy, conducts legal awareness programmes, sensitizes the judiciary and investigates violations. Networking with the socio-legal systems, we ensure that the basic human rights of the citizens are not violated.
CCRRA strives to be an agent of change for the vulnerable and the marginalised sections of the society with the aim to empower them to use the tool of law to secure their rights without any fear or fervour.

CCRRA seeks to inculcate human rights based approach in the society to equip and reshape a community of self-sustained citizens who have the knowledge to raise their voice to exercise the rights guaranteed to them.
